Don’t Give A Dog a bad name Campaign!
Did you know one of the biggest environmental issues for residents living in Wirral is dog fouling?

Local housing association, Wirral Partnership Homes (WPH), carried out a questionnaire to find out what improvements people wanted to see in their community.

And one of the main environmental issues they wanted to see tackled was dog fouling. As a result WPH has joined forces with Wirral Council, West Cheshire Cleaning Services and Beanbag to launch the ‘Don’t give a dog a bad name’ campaign.

The aim of the campaign is to raise public awareness of the problem of dog fouling and reduce dog fouling in areas identified as hot spots, particularly within and around WPH communities, and to reiterate the fact that the onus for clearing up after pets falls solely on the owner.

Powers to enforce the £50 fixed penalty notice on offending owners have now been extended to WPH Neighbourhood Wardens, meaning there is now much more likelihood of owners being ‘caught in the act’ of fouling our streets, parks and open spaces.

West Cheshire Cleaning Services are proud to be part of Theirs clients campaign and wish them well for the roll out in the forthcoming months.
